I think that Hotter Than Hell by Kiss is a pretty bad sounding album, its from 1974 but the drums sound like 1986!
Knocked Out Loaded by Bob Dylan- Even though it is actually a very good album, the drum machine is mixed so loud you cant hear the other parts!!! Very annoying!
Shoot me if you must, but I think that Queen I has pretty boring production. Love the songs, but they dont entrance me, if you know what I mean.
Anything from 1983

Memory Almost Full was the first thing Macca's done that I've liked in God knows how long ...

but CHRIST someone needs to take his compression away, at least for a few weeks while he sorts out his addiction.

Im a Macca FREAK as much as I am with Queen. His Chaos/Creation album I though had some of the best production ive heard in a long time. Now 1986's Press To Play. That's a different story...

I like songs from throughout his career, but Memory Almost Full is the only album I've heard start to finish.  Wasn't fond of stuff like "Gratitude" or "See Your Sunshine", that stuff was fluff.  I really really really liked "House of Wax" though.

I just don't know the album had to be so ... compressy!!!

They've got some nice stuff, actually. You shouldn't judge a band by its prepubescent fanbase, no matter how massively stupid it is.

Kiss appear in a lot of "worst" lists, as well as "most over-rated", "cheesiest songs", "dumbest lyrics" etc.

They have a well-deserved reputation for being crappy at almost everything.

Funny thing is that Metallica did that crappy production on purpose.  They wanted a completely raw, live peformance in the studio (if you want to call the facility they used a studio) without any polishing.  To an extent, I actually liked the sound.

AC/DC's Fly on the Wall album sounds like it was recorded in someone's garage.

Bowie's Tonight album has some diabolical production on it.
