The real story?

Ok, it was a long day and someone had inadvertantly placed a turkey sandwich on Roger's snare drum, thinking that Axl would have stopped midway thru the song and started a fight with someone in the crowd.  Roger was very careful not to hit the sandwich, but unfortunately it muffled the drum and they were unable to clean it up in post-production.

You can see him eating the sandwich at the 5:43 mark.

Welcome to Queenzone, where we boast a sensible response ratio of around 1:10. It won't be long before Paul Rodgers is being blamed for the snare sound.

Seriously - I haven't heard it in a while. I'll watch out for it next time.

I think Axl Rose sounds really, really shitty from the point where just before he opens his mouth during his first part of the song, up until a short while after he leaves the stage.

He just misses the rimshot, broken stick maybe, or maybe he wanted to hear the full glory of Axl, rimshots are loud!

It was my fault.  I put the sandwich on Roger's snare.

No, your timing is way out.  It was Kate Perry.
