Lineage: AUD (David aka Brians Wig) > Sony MD on LP mode with Optimus Boundary mic (33-7068) > CDr > WAV > FLAC8

Disk 1

01. Band introduction by Spike Edney
Davy's On The Road Again (Chris Thompson)
02. Let's Spend The Night Together (Chris Thompson)
03. 3, 24 Miles (Jesh Roden)
04. I Just Wanna Make Love To You (Stevie Vann)
05. SAS Band instrumental medley (aka 21 Riff Overture :-)
06. Natural Woman (Madeleine Bell)
07. California Man (Roy Wood)
08. Every Time You Go Away (Paul Young)

Disk 2

01. A Kind Of Magic (Roger Taylor)
02. I Want To Break Free (Roger Taylor)
03. Radio Ga Ga (Roger Taylor)

05. That's Amore (SAS Band)
06. With A Little Help From My Friends (SAS Band)
07. I Wish It Could Be Christmas / Every Day / All The Way (SAS Band) (SAS Band)

Excellent quality. This gig was a tribute to Paul Young who sadly died
a few months before. Highlights? Roger Taylor with one of his very
scarce live appearances and SAS Band instrumental medley

There is something I don't understand... Paul Young died in 2000, but Paul Young will appear in the forrthcoming days with the SAS Band ob 30th July in a gig.... How can he do that ? ;o)
Most probably it is another Paul Young, but I didn't knew that...

Excellent post - thanks for sharing.

I was at this concert and if I remember correctly it also featured the band Sad Cafe, who reformed for the night (Paul Young was their singer), and at the very end Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrack (who whom Paul Young had made up Mike and the Mechanics) played a few of their hits.

It was quite a long concert and was held at the Manchester Apollo. I was told it had been filmed but have yet to see any footage from the show.

I've downloaded the RT tracks and I can confirm that this is my recording, so relevant recording details are below:

It was recorded on a sony minidisc recorder (machine got nicked so can't tell you the model number) in LP mode - so the recording is in mono. I recorded in LP mode so i didn't have to change discs - You can lose up to 25 seconds of a concert just by changing the disc.
The microphone used was an Optimus Boundary mic (33-7068)

If they'd play up North more often (instead of Bisley all the time), there would be more SAS concerts recorded.

I also did Gosport in 2001, but after recording for two hours, I got jostled during Roger's set and the minidisc recorder crashed What a Bummer! I do have another recording of the Gosport gig from someone else, but unfortunately the sound isn't as good as mine :(

Blimey.
I haven't downloaded this because the tracklisting is exactly the same as mine so assume it is my recording which I didn't think had spread!

The short answer to that is "NO" :(
The Fan club have a video copy of the performance - so if anyone knows how to get it from jacky, please give it a go!

Yeah you have to be in her "inner circle of friends" and promise her never trade it, then of course do the other way...  too bad both QP and the Fan Club act the same way and sit on their treasures... Magic is Loose  - definitely one of the things i really want to see before I reach age 60!

To a certain extend we all do such things.
