I just thought I'd share THIS with you lovely people!

Took me a couple of tries, the ticket machine clock was out of whack.  Anyway!  I'm off to go wait for Beatles Rock Band to show up in Perth.  Can't wait to get the remastered box too.  The only Beatles I actually own is the Anthology stuff, it'll be nice to have the albums (and whatever extras they throw on, though I'm not expecting much).

German radio mentioned that 7 engineers were working for 4 years on 5 days a week on the new Beatles box. So we should not hope to get the Queen anthologies too soon...

Valid point!   I think the Beatles Anthology took a comparable amount of time to get together, but then I don't think they have to worry as much with 'anthology' style stuff with outtakes and demos ...  I mean who really cares if it sounds as pristine as an ordinary album?

(shrugs)  I do wish there'd be a Queen one already.  It's at the point where we've probably heard everything they have already anyway.  If there are any gems left it's probably stuff that fans have and QP don't!

Does anyone know if the documentaries released with the remasters are worth it?

Amazon says that the documentary footage is 40 minutes long, but I don't know if that's 40 minutes per each album or 40 minutes counting all of them.

It says it is 1 DVD, so I'm guessing it is 40 minutes total.  40 minutes per album would be cool, though!

That's the way Depeche Mode did it.

They released each one of their albums remastered including B sides and each one of them has a documentary about the recording of the album and it's impact.

Wish more bands would do something like that.

I've had a look, sounds like 40 minutes is the total time of all the extras.

(shrugs) I'm not bothered, as long as it's not rehashes of things that I already have on Anthology.  40 minutes of 'new' stuff is better than repeated product, hehe.

OK, so the Amazon description makes it sound like there is simply one DVD with 40 minutes worth of documentary.  I just heard on the radio (KFOG San Francisco) that there are documentaries (or documentary like features) on each disc.  This would explain the Remastered/Enhanced description each disc has online.
On the radio, they were talking about both the stereo and mono boxes so there is a chance I misheard what they said exactly.
Is there a documentary on each disc AND a separate DVD?

Maybe the DVD is just .. all of the stuff together in DVD quality.

Because I've heard that each CD has a Quicktime movie on it.  (shrugs)

May I ask a question? Does Beatles' LP made in USSR in 1989 have any value? Just curious...
