Artist: Queen + Paul Rodgers Date: 01.11.2008 Venue: Stadthalle City: Vienna Country: Austria Quality: very good (+) Lineage: Master taped by myself -> Edirol R-09 HR (internal mics) 24 bit / 44.1 kHz -> Goldwave (EQ) -> CD Wave (tracks splitting) -> XRECODE (FLAC level 8). Comment: I was standing right from the catwalk (first row) and unfortunately, only two minutes before the show I realized my SP-CMC-8 mics weren't working. I tried to restart the recorder and also switch my battery module off and use mic-in instead of line-in but didn't succeed either; something was wrong with the mics. So with only seconds left before the start of the show I had just one choice - use the internal microphones of the Edirol R-09 HR recorder (there was no time for adjusting any of the settings), stick it into my bag and hope that *something* will be recorded. Considering how stressful the conditions were, I was surprised the result was actually very good - almost VG+ if it wasn't for quite a lot of audience noise (and btw. that's NOT me singing - all those people singing and talking were German speaking people :-). Disc 1 1. 3:11 Intro: Cosmos Rockin' 2. 0:53 Intro: Surf's Up... School's Out 3. 2:00 Hammer To Fall (fast) 4. 4:38 Tie Your Mother Down 5. 5:14 Fat Bottomed Girls 6. 3:31 Another One Bites The Dust 7. 4:34 I Want It All 8. 3:30 I Want To Break Free 9. 3:43 C-lebrity 10. 5:27 Surf's Up... School's Out 11. 5:39 Seagull 12. 2:02 Blue Danube Waltz 13. 6:53 Love Of My Life 14. 5:37 '39 15. 3:03 Bass solo 16. 3:51 Drum Solo 17. 3:27 I'm In Love With My Car 18. 5:17 A Kind Of Magic 19. 4:20 Say It's Not True Disc 2 20. 5:59 Bad Company 21. 5:34 We Believe 22. 5:24 Guitar Solo 23. 4:23 Bijou 24. 4:37 Last Horizon 25. 5:06 Radio Ga Ga 26. 3:20 Crazy Little Thing Called Love 27. 4:45 The Show Must Go On 28. 8:35 Bohemian Rhapsody 29. 3:44 Cosmos Rockin' 30. 5:02 All Right Now 31. 2:39 We Will Rock You 32. 4:08 We Are The Champions 33. 1:29 God Save The Queen Feel free to spread this recording for free as long as you keep it lossless and include the info file with it. If you encode this recording into a lossy format, PLEASE keep that version only for yourself. http://rapidshare.com/files/277830569/Vienna2008.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/277831882/Vienna2008.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/277834207/Vienna2008.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/277835827/Vienna2008.part4.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/277836076/Vienna2008.part5.rar

Great share, Martin. I do believe that this is the first time a Vienna2008 recording is shared on QueenZone. More surprises to follow soon...

I'm unfortunately too lazy to check but I believe your version was slightly better - because of less audience noise.

Thanks for this! I was wondering if I have your recording already but that version I have sounds different although lot of the tracks are divided in the very same way (the same length) and that's why I was confused ;-)

As I said to pittrek, there are two similar versions. I don't know if you have mine or not :)

Dear Martin, thank you very much for sharing your master. I'm very happy for the possebility to hear this concert. Especially because of the Blue Danube Waltz which was played only at this show. thanks again and take care W.
