Been listening to the FM Solo CD collection recently (2006 ed). Had In My Defence on the in the car this afternoon and it brought back memories of an interview in which it was said that the vocals were recorded in one take. Anyone know if that is right? Also, the song appears on the Time double album. I have the "normal" version, but is there a release with a holographic front cover? Ta.

I believe there was a cover that had a holographic sticker of the guys face or something.
Not an entire holographic cover. Would be awesome, but no.

I guess holographic paper is a bit expensive, hence the single-cover of the Miracle. Not the entire cover, just a cut out.

I've read several times that it was recorded in one take, how awesome is that? Great vocal. It was just the "Oh what on earth" closing piece at the end that was from a different take/session and added on.
I love this song.
