Hi,
Have the songs on the new compilation been remastered and improved upon when compared to the 93/94 digital master series EMI releases? If so that is the only reason I will buy it.

According to all the press info, they HAVE been remastered (yet again).  This time by one of the world's most recognised and sought after mastering chaps, from the original 'flat' master tapes. It will be interesting to hear the difference to the last Japanese masters, which to my mind (and ears!) are the best yet.

Yep, the tracks have been remastered. Not a HUGE audible difference, but still very nice.

It's a general rule of thumb that a compilation like this has to be remastered so the songs "fit" together. And yes, it will be an interesting listen. I'm interested if a proper mastering engineer was used!
