The Cosmos Rocks Tour in São Paulo, Brazil

I’m here to post my FLACs of both nights of São Paulo 2008. The tour makes his 1 year anniversary, and I like to do my little contribution to QueenZone.
These two shows were so waited for the Brazilian fans. Since 2005, the start of the “QPR project”, we pray to have a chance to see the band live, thing that Brazilians waited for long 23 years! When the first rumors of QPR in Brazil appeared, the fans are waiting for a show in Morumbi Stadium and/or Maracanã Stadium, but it don’t happened. What we got is two consecutive nights on “Via Funchal” in São Paulo, and one night on “HSBC Arena” in Rio. Personally, I think these places were so small for a Queen gig. To have an idea, in the last years the cover “Dios Salve a La Reina” almost full the Via Funchal…
Be in 2 Queen shows was a dream come true, really an unforgettable moment. I like to thanks all my friends who went with me to the show, and a special thanks to my friend Eric Taylor who encouraged me to try to record the 2 nights.

Well, about the recording:

I recorded in video with my photo camera (I know this is a shitty thing to do, but it were the only way for me!). Later I extracted the audio and made an equalization. The lineage for the 2 audios is:

SONY DSC-S600 > WAV (AoA Audio Extractor) > Goldwave (Equalization/Track Splitting) > FLAC (level 8 With TLH)

About quality, it isn’t excellent, but it really captures the energy of the band and the public!
On the 27.11 recording, I included as bonus the last song of the "pre show" time...Somebody could find interesting to hear the last song played before the lights went down !

Please, if somebody here could make a cover for this, will be awesome !

In my opinion Yes, it can be considered lossless. For me is the same "problem" about some mini-disc audio recorders, it doesn't record in a full range of frequencies like a proper audio recorder in WAV. But it don't apresent that classical MP3 sharp cut on 16-20 KHz...In the end it confuses the programs and us :)
Well, if somebody with more knowledge about this could help, will be interessant!

If it cuts anywhere after 20 kHz (where the cut is depends on the recorder), our ears probably won't hear the difference, because that's the limit of our aural range.  Your software definitely isn't confused, as it sees the cut where it is.  But while the spectral view reveals a cut, it ultimately doesn't mean anything for our ears.

But mp3, in contrast, cuts precisely at 16 kHz, so some of us definitely can hear the difference.
