Congratulations, nice to see Queen once again in the top 3. PS. Who Wants To Live Forever is back on charts as well, in at no. 63.

over 250 000 copies sold first week, those are figures only for uk? or global results? if those are only uk figures that's really impressive

that means it's platinum in uk now cos it sold over 300 000 copies. not bad for two weeks sales of this compilation of hits that everybody already have in one form or another

The album is still in the Top 10, and looks like it moved 1 position up from last week. They definitely have reached a wider audience, a new generation of listeners (and not just the fans). If this album imporesses poeple, then it may lead to more sales of the standard studio albums too.

Maybe big success in the UK, but for rest of the world = big boredom and uninterest....

Actually, they did NO promotion at all here in the U.S., and they released it exclusively to Best Buy. Who in the hell buys music from Best Buy? Walmart would have been the first choice if I was releasing something exclusively (as if that's a good thing anyways!). I can't say much for other countries, but I haven't seen one AG ad or poster or anything here.

Yes, it's doing well in Britain, but the rest of the world seems a bit indifferent to its charms. In my native Poland it's climbing slowly, now at no. 34. But I guess that this is the compilation that people will keep buying over the years and it will gradually push the Greatest Hits saga off the market. Don't know if it's good or bad though. I might be wrong:)

I must admit, I saw basically no advertising or promotion here in Western Australia at all. There was a competition to win a copy on the local news web site but other than that I saw nothing!

When I rip the Absolute Greatest CD for the MP3 player, I found the picture and track listing to be that of Queen Greatest Hits plus 3 untitled tracks. However, when I play the album on the MP3, the tracks correspond to that listed on the CD cover. That means for track one, WMP and the MP3 player showed Bohemian Rhapsody but the track played was We Will Rock You. Does it mean an error has occurred in the production ? It cannot be a fake because I bought it from a HMV store.
