There's no way a band who produced My Fairy King, Mustapha, and Seven Seas of Rhye and who didn't take themselves very seriously could be a religion. I suppose there are some high priests out there hiding in the back of comic shops and dressing as Brian from IWTBF giving the sacrament of champagne and cavier.
