Grizzly old band from the 70's with only two original members.

Come on mooghead it's close enough!

Ooh oooh ooh I've got one!

Maybe the tour promoter is the same guy that used to book Queen!

Ace Frehley was the drunk and drug addict of KISS.

Same goes for Peter Criss.

That was what LiveNation wanted in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

A fair point, but then again for many many people, Fred was Queen and so QPR means very little now. Whereas Kiss is a band doing disposable generic cliched rock and the band members are interchangable make-up artists with very little talent. Lose one and the Kiss brand doesn't lose much impact (for fans who are easily pleased by simple 3-chord "rawk", make up and flash bombs). In fact, when all the original Kiss members are dead, I can still see the Kiss product on tour, with new members wearling the make up and spandex, producing the same generic, cliched, corporate rubbish. Kiss are the Menudo of rock.

It was Freddie who stated that Queen's music was disposable.  Queen had cliched generic rock material.  I guess
you forgot about that.

RE:  talent

When Brian and Roger needed a drummer to help them out they asked Eric Singer, KISS' drummer.
Paul Stanley is one of the greatest rock front men, singers, and rock songwriters.  Plus he's done it
far longer than Freddie.

You don't sell over 100 million cds and play to millions each year if you don't have talent.  If you knew anything
about music you'd know that.

Freddie wasn't Queen.  Queen was Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon.  It's evident you
don't know that either.

RE:  "3-chord rawk"

When you can play "God Gave Rock And Roll To You", "Unholy", "I Walk Alone", "Jungle", etc., we'll talk about
"3-chord rawk".  Just another topic you're not qualified to talk about.

Do you know why KISS didn't open up for Queen in the early '70s?  Queen wouldn't let them, because they
knew that KISS would wipe them off of the stage.  Same reason why Mott The Hoople wouldn't let KISS open
for them.

you really believe this stuff dont you?

also "god gave rock and roll to you" was a cover... and brian only asked Eric singer because the right man for the job was dead ...  and paul stanley passed his use-by well over a decade ago, he sounds like a wounded walrus now ....

they are not a band, they are a BRAND.  once a money machine hits a certain point it snowballs, of course they play to millions, they are an institution now.  they dont need talent, whether they have it or not.

kiss blowing Queen off stage???   i am realistic to only like around 60% of Queens music, they wrote some stinkers, but kiss would never blow them from stage.  350000 people would see Queen and freddie didnt even turn up, the same cannot be said of Kiss with their front guys ....       stop living in a dream land, maybe you are on DMT like my old friends :D

>>also "god gave rock and roll to you" was a cover...

The verses were rewritten by Paul, Gene, and Bob Ezrin.  Bruce Kulick's
guitar playing on the song is far more complex than what was on
Argent's version.

>>and brian only asked Eric singer because the right man for the job was dead ...

It's obvious you know shit about this subject.  Brian May asked his friend
Tony Iommi if he knew any great drummers and Iommi said Eric Singer.
Iommi would know because Eric played in Black Sabbath.

>> and paul stanley passed his use-by well over a decade ago, he sounds like a wounded walrus now ....
He sounded great at the two concerts I saw this year.

Freddie was past his peak by 1986.  His range wasn't as high and his voice was
much raspier.  Listen to "Live At Wembley" to hear this.

>>they are not a band, they are a BRAND.

And what number is this current great hits cd from Queen?
Queen's a brand just like every other rock band.

>> once a money machine hits a certain point it snowballs, of course they play to millions, they are an institution now.  they dont need talent, whether they have it or not.
That's right KISS is an institution.  They're the American band with the most RIAA gold records.
They broke The Beatles' attendance record at the Budokan in Japan.  They had 4 lps in the top
100 during the '70s.  They're the only band to have released a solo lp by each of the band on the
same day.  They've been a huge musical influence to many rock, hard rock, heavy metal and
even pop and country bands.  Their stage shows have been a huge influence on rock, pop, and country bands.

>>kiss blowing Queen off stage???   i am realistic to only like around 60% of Queens music, they wrote some stinkers, but kiss would never blow them from stage.

KISS blew Queen of of the stage at the VH1 Rock Honors show.  It's a fact that in '74 Queen wouldn't let KISS
open for them.  They knew that after KISS played they would look really lame.

Queen with their best stage production paled in comparision to what KISS brought to the concert
scene.

>> 350000 people would see Queen and freddie didnt even turn up,

You mean the free concert in the Ukraine?

KISS played to 200,000 paying customers in Rio de Janeiro in 1983.
Just KISS and a local opening band.  It wasn't the Rock In Rio festival
which Queen played at.

>>the same cannot be said of Kiss with their front guys ....

People worldwide know who KISS is.  People know who
Gene Simmons is due to KISS and GS Family Jewels.

>> stop living in a dream land, maybe you are on DMT like my old friends :D

You need to stop living in denial about KISS' influence on the rock world.

BTW, Queen is my second favorite band.

Miley Cyrus won't have a 38+ year career in the music industry.

Miley Cyrus won't be remembered for influencing people
to pick up a musical instrument and starting a rock band.

Miley Cryus has played "Rock And Roll All Nite" in concert.

End of story.
