I always liked The Sweet studio records, but recently I have discovered some of their live performances on YouTube and found out that they were even better live.

And that Mick Tucker was one of the best drummers out there :

Well now the common problem - I want MORE :-)

Does anybody know where could I find some (ANY) live recordings (audio / video, audience / pro) of Sweet ?
The common sites (Zomb, tapecity, tradersden, dime ) are no help, since I couldn't find no records there

The Sweet are awesome. But, I really love all that '70s power-pop stuff. It's just great!

Sweet is most certainly one of my favourite bands. I have Desolation Boulevard, Strung-Up, Give Us A Wink, and Sweet Fanny Adams on vinyl. Mick is my second favourite drummer next to that blonde girl from Queen.

I'm not "a fan" but they're great.

That first video is definitely not live.

Well yes and no.
They obviously were supposed to be miming to the album track, but Brian sung (at least part of ) it live.
To prove he's singing live he changed "this musical mascerade  has gone so far far far" to "this musical mascerade has gone too fucking far". You can see the amusement on everybody's faces so it was probably not planned that way :-)

Can't help wih the recordings, but wanted to add that whenever I think of Sweet I think of Freddie slagging them off mildly in a very early band interview when Queen was still trying to be a blip on the public consciousness. He was positioning the band as an act that was comparable to The Sweet et al, but with more to offer. Almost impossible to imagine them now as four hungry young guys not sure what their musical future held, or whether they were going to make it.

I like Sweet.

I love how gay they sound at the beginning of "Ballroom Blitz".

Are you ready, Steve? Aha.
Andy? Yeah! Mick? OK.
Alright, fellas, let's go!

Hahahaha.

Do you want recordings of Andy Scotts Sweet, Brian Connolly's Sweet or Orignal Sweet?

Here’s some I have…

(Original Sweet)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S6JWK6IC
B C’s sweet. (not really "live" but worth a listen, ""one take" (apparently) re-recordings)

Andy Scott’s Sweet – Live and gigging

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DA7BX7EP
Steve Priest's version.

I think there's more versions of this band going around than any other.

Which one of the singers is supposed to have had a record number of heart attacks?

Brian Connolly, apparently.

In 1993 he could hardly sing, couldn't play the guitar and spent most of his
day unconscious. His live performances were him singing a few backing vocals,
while the rest of the band compensated. At least, that’s what someone I know
who knew him said, god knows if it’s true.
