We just restarted TM to bring some hope and light back the music scene, with all the crappy garbage bands out there we had to do it, just recorded a new song yesterday that is better than ALL mainstream pop and rock bands combined. TM will bring back quality to music again as it is polluted right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdB7EnpDDhw

Treasure Moment, I hate to say it, but you've turned into a parody of yourself. Very predictable post, both in the “I’m better than everyone” and the fact you posted it in the wrong forum. I used to enjoy reading your stuff, where’s the random unpredictableness, I was looking forward to conspiracy theories and sheep. Come on, working together me and you can come up with something, Freddie Died in 1979 and was replaced by god?
Did you ever get the feeling That the truth is less revealing Than a downright lie? And did you think your head was hip To certain things it's not equipped To qualify?

Yours was far from catchy... not that that's what ultimately makes a good song. Your new song is beyond contrived, just like the rest of your songs. It sounds like a bad movie soundtrack combined with boring 80s guitar riffs and a horrible drum machine. There is one half-decent moment about 2 minutes in, but that's about it. As long as you have this the holier-than-thou attitude, nobody is going to take your music seriously. Your head is so far up your ass you don't know your way out. Looking forward to your next ground-breaking composition.

I was going to say something earlier, but decided against it. Now that some of here worth listening have actually commented in the vein I was going to, I might as well go for it. First of all: it wouldn't be half as bad if it didn't sound like a half-arsed attempt at a theme tune for a crappy indie action game by a 14-year old newbie programmer. I certainly hope it's a first-phase demo version of a song that's going to become something materially different. But if it was, I wouldn't have upped it on YouTube. But if it wasn't a demo - for starters, get a real drummer. In fact, get a real band. Actually, on second thought, don't - but I'm getting ahead of myself here. Second: maybe you should consider tuning your instruments properly before recording anything. Not sure if it was purposely done, but if you wanted to downtune a guitar, you need to do it to more than just one string. Third: if you really wanted to be "better" than all mainstream rock/pop - let's just consider what would you actually want with that. More interesting for people who appreciate music, more understandable for regular people (catchy) or what? This track of yours, I could name quite a number of different influences and sources for lots of musical phrases going on there, but the way you combined the elements reminded me of Roger Taylor's new track in its illogicailty. His was more illogical, though, but way more interesting. Still wouldn't buy it. It's not as bad as the worst piece of crap I've ever heard, really. However, I'd suggest you to experiment more, listen to loads and loads of different types of artists - preferably anything decidedly NOT mainstream. Also, try to approach the music you're about to make in a different way - make yourself as a writer serve the music, not the music serve you as a musician. And finally, approach your potential audience in a more respecting manner. As it has been pointed out, one good way to start would be to post in a forum designated to these kinds of things. And since you're living in the illusion that your songs are better than anything any of us here could ever write, I'm pretty sure there are quite a few perfectly capable songwriters here who could do something very nice, and I would gladly upload some of my stuff here if it were not copyrighted. Though I'm not too sure that would help with your illusion. Everyone's entitled to an opinion.

I'm not particularly musical, so you'll probably dismiss my opinion as a result of that, but I found that track completely boring and it didn't engage me at all. The synth sound was awful and seemed very dated to me. Almost expected it to segue into Europe's Final Countdown, and that would have been a welcome change... Wait--what was the line I used to post on every TM thread? No (name?) no TM. Was it Andreas? Well, whatever it was, no (whatshisname) = no Treasure Moment. No Tupac = No Treasure Moment? Maybe THAT was it. I saved Spike's life in 'Nam.

CAPO, Spinetta no es ejemplo de nada. No puede cantar ni el arrorró. Qué desastre el hijodeputa. Y tocando, bastante flojo. OTOH: I liked the sound quality. The song is a crappy backing track, almost arrangement-less. Some few nice progressions (nice, "pretty" if you will. NOT clever, by any chance). Not more than that. And that little melody here and there is pretty weak. How dare you call yourselves the best thing since Queen if your melodies suck? I don't know what is it that you call garbage 3 chord bands. I thought Sex Pistols didn't exist anymore But you sure sound better than Led Zeppelin. I don't think that's an accomplishment, anyway. Silence is better than Led Zeppelin. 21/11/08 - saw Brian May live. Best night of my life.
