I love collecting Queen, and it's always a pleasure to discover a rare record and buy it. But what's even better, I would imagine, is buying a rare record for a cheap price. I've paid hundreds for some records, but I always dream on finding the Bo Rhap blue vinyl for 50p in a car boot sale.

So, has anyone ever had a great find? I have to say I don't think I have, but I'd love to hear your stories.

There used to be a record shop in Dublin called Abbey Discs and I picked up a couple of copies of the withdrawn Man on The Prowl/Keep Passing The Open Windows 7" for 50p each (this was around 1990)

I once bought the 'Powe to love' and 'Liar' CD-single from The Cross from a classmate of mine for less than 10 Euros for each CD, and it was quite some years after its release in 1990. Considering you can't find them nowadays for a low price (especially 'Liar') I think it was quite a good find back then.

I got an original (not one of the bootleg copies) copy of the Bulgarian Greatest Hits pic disc in a small second hand record stall in Canterbury about 20 years ago for about £20. (Record Collector vaulation £600, and rated as one of the Top Ten Queen Rarities of all time a few years back).  I sold it on Ebay about two years ago to pay for some music equipment, but rather wish I hadn't.

Incidentally, worst ever find was the never ending continuous supply of Tigers of Pan Tang and Christopher Cross albums when looking for Roger Taylor and The Cross discs in second had record stores!!!!
