Can anyone recommend some good free music software? I'd like to starting playing around with the 24 tracks.

For nearly all of my mashups,I have used Audacity
.I am sorry I don't have the link,but Googling it should turn up real quick for ya'.

Audacity is a pretty good multitrack and audio editor software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and the best of all, is opensource so go and get ti.

I use "Adobe Audition"  Really easy to use.
