I havent had a reaon to post here in a long while, but I finally obtained the Illustrated Biography the other day. To me it seems as if it was written by a true Queen fan. I think it is just the type of book that Queen and the fans deserve, much along the lines of Rolling With The Stones and The Beatles Anthology. I did find it weird though how the tour dates apperaed in different areas of the book that did not correspond with the aforementioned dates. It also would have been good to include set lists too. I did find the reviews of the albums very enjoyable, however. It was well worth the $40 for the book though.

There are plenty of websites that have the setlists, so I don't see that as a negative at all.  No book or website can possibly have everything.

It's a great book because it's a very unique take on the history of the band, with plenty of previously unseen pictures.  5 stars for a superb job by Phil Sutcliffe.

I managed to get the book for £12 thru the fan club. I've read bits and it's easy to read. I like the photos best. There are some good photos from the early days. I'm glad I got it.

It does indeed have a slew of excellent pictures (alot of Freddie!), but there were 3 or 4 tpyos I found where they said a picture was taken on the Jazz tour when it was obviously taken on the Races tour, etc.
