I'd love to see Roger perform some of the better Cross tracks sometime - stuff like New Dark Ages, Final Destination etc - but please, just leave the rest of  the band at home.

My favorite The Cross tracks are, in no particular order:

Final Destination (MUCH better than the Yoshiki version)
Top of the World Ma
LIAR!
New Dark Ages
The Also Rans
Millionaire
Heaven for Everyone (Roger on vocals)
Penetration Guru

The band had some potential... but not that much, hehe :)

Still, Roger should play a couple of those tracks live in the future. BETTER THAN THIS, he should play some of Fun In Space Live. Let's Get Crazy, anyone???

He did play Let's Get Crazy on the first The Cross tour in 88 (with double drums too - lovely!)

I too would like to see him do some of the older solo and the Cross stuff on any future live shows - here's hoping!

Oooh.. I have to get a hold of that "Let's get crazy" recording.

I have heard him do "Man on Fire" live and it rocks!

It's pretty funny when the cross comes up on this site.........they talk about that terrible band like they were actually good or god forbid great, lol. the band sucked!......these same people would come on this same site and rip 80's queen like it was the worst recordings of all time.  I remember buying the cross albums in the 90's in my stepford day's, and even back then i thought the cross were crap.  i paid a fortune for those albums (Imports) and sold them back for a measly few dollars a few weeks later.  Live and learn I guess.

I really can´t understand why Roger always tend to pick out run-of-the-mill musicians. If you listen to his live recordings it is no better than the average pubband.

It's just such a shame that the CD is so badly mixed / mastered; I've only ever heard the LP once, at a mate's house when we went and bought them on the Monday morning from Record House - remember those days!!!???, but the CD is mastered WAY too quietly and sounds compressed to hell.

Awesome album, awesome follow-up in Blue Rock - lack of foresight by EMI and jealousy in terms of the fact that Queen didn't produce ANYTHING as exciting as those albums from One Vision onwards.

That's a bit strong Andreas.

Aiming a post like that at no one in partiucular might just lead one to think that you're aiming it at everyone.

Still, whilst other people really try very hard and post constructive, interesting opinion, you find the time in your busy schedule to show yourself up as an ignorant buffoon.

We'll all skip off into the distance having a good conversation whilst you slide back under the stone you call home.

I'm one of those laughing my ass off reading Ben's post........Imagine the cross performing a song like who wants to live forever or princess of the universe?....Or the Innuendo album?.....Benn shows why Queenzone has become a joke!....and i wouldn't be surprised if Benn is a Cross Member......I don't even know what to say......The cross were a terrible band, and if you think their great or the music is as good or better than 80's Queen you must be a roger stepford.

I like Mad Bad a lot, but I think Blue Rock was a much stronger album.
Loved The Cross, and would like to see a Live Anthology, as I think they eventually performed all but 1 or 2 songs live.

I love the idea of a large body of Roger Taylor solo work - his voice and his groove are more than worthy.  But the actual music on The Cross albums is just too often ordinary and undistinguished.   No real reason to care about it for the most part.
