Congratulations to Louis Ooisthiesen (sp)......for winning the British Open.

Comments:  Acknowledging Nelson Mandela's 92nd birthday.  Keeping his cool for two days with a big lead.  And, lost amongst much of his ridiculously unexpected victory, the totally uncommented bits about his caddie.  A black man (will edit this later) as his guide.  16 years ago, in South Africa, the two men could not have sat next to each other during a World Cup match in that country.

Kudos to Mr. O for not letting the bigotry that reigned in his country during his preteens affect who he had as his consort during his historic championship run.

Actually, one of the British commentators mentioned that he was one of only two black caddies in professional golf.

I'm slightly annoyed Rory McIlroy didn't win it. Northern Ireland's very own Sideshow Bob.
