A mighty bash as Queen drummer Roger Taylor ties the knot
By Katie Nicholl
3rd October 2010

After one failed marriage and five children, Queen drummer Roger Taylor has married his girlfriend of six years Sarina Potgieter.

The 36-year-old bride wore a purple wedding dress and the celebrations had a black and red theme as the pair staged an unusual ceremony at their home
in Surrey last Saturday.

Says a friend: 'The whole event was very low-key but incredible fun and light-hearted. All they wanted was a really big knees-up with their pals rather than a formal white wedding.

'The reception was in a huge black and red marquee in their garden and all the waiters wore black. The tables were black and they even had black patent leather sofas outside. The theme was almost bondage.'

A guest said: 'The music didn't stop before sunrise.'
Roger, 61, who is worth around £65 million, has two children with his first wife, Dominique Beyrand, and three with his former girlfriend, the Flake model Deborah Leng.

25 years younger - still not half as bad as Ronnie Wood.  Hope the old guy is finally happy.

Look at the picture and then compare to the Daily Mail description of a "purple" dress.

They do just make things up don't they?!!

That pic is photoshopped (rather well, I might add. The only thing that tipped me off is that Sarina looks a bit like a bobblehead!)

Here's the original photo which is actually a few years old: http://girlonfire.co.uk/images/52459230.jpg

I think it's great that they got married. They're awfully cute together!

don't tell me that you ignore the dutch domination of South Africa!!!!

Afrikaners (including distinct Boer subgroup) are an Afrikaans-speaking ethnic group in Southern Africa. They are mainly of Dutch descent augmented with French and German ancestry, and their native tongue is Afrikaans, a Germanic language which derives from Dutch.

(from wikipedia).

SARINA IS ABSOLUTELY SOUTH-AFRICAN!

Hiya, Brian referenced going on his Soapbox:
http://www.brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssboct10a.html
I suspect the date is off. The sundog stereo photo he posted are listed on another site as being taken Sept. 25.

The story is from the Daily Mail - being from the US - how reputable is this publication? :) Are they more like the Enquirer or CNN?
