As well, an explanation to those unfamiliar with SHM-CD technology:

SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) is a CD manufacturing process that features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan and discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players

Thanks for the heads up.

I purchased the SHM-CD version of the new Slash album and it absolutely kills the domestic release I got with the Classic Rock magazine special. It sounds incredible!

However, that was a new release recorded in glorious analogue; it will be interesting to see what the GH release sounds like. I was personally very impressed with the sound on the Japanese re-issue mini-LPs from a few years ago but I know that some people weren't keen.

Keith.

I bet you didn't click on those links, Benn. You missed the "External Bonus" section on that page.
If you had read it you would see the CDs include a "40th anniversary sticker (white)" (!!!)

Now, aren't we all excited?

And, inside the booklet I believe there is a We Will Rock You Musical voucher for discount tickets in the West End.
