This "upgrade" differs from the previous upload in a couple of ways. There is no short "edit" during "It's A Hard Life". There is extra footage which features brief rehearsal material and different camera angles for "It's A Hard Life" and "We Will Rock You". Thank you for this upgrade, you should have made the audio LPCM(lossless), Dolby 2.0 or AC3 is a compressed(lossy) format. Is it too late to fix it?

My source from Sky HD box doesn't allow me to access the LPCM audio when I transfer to the standalone DVD so unfortunately you are correct in saying the audio could be technically better.....however having watched the DVD and compared it to the original broadcast I can't hear any difference.....then again my hearing may be shot!!! (Also having made some home DVDs with LPCM audio....I've noticed that the bitrate for the video is reduced to cope with the increase in the audio bitrate so in a way it's a trade off with more info going into the picture which hopefully is worth it)

Ah right, thanks for explaining, as you said it's not much of a differance anyway. The video will be well worth it. LPCM would not have affected your bitrate btw, it caps at 8.5Mbs. Thanks again.

Thanks for this. How come there's no short edit during Hard Life? Surely the HD and SD Broadcasts were the same?

Anyone else see some distracting green lines or dots across the top of the video in full screen mode, or do I have a codec problem?

When watching on PC you will see these green lines which I believe are due to the fact that you will be seeing all the lines of the picture (ie 625) however on most TVs these will not be seen because the first few lines of the picture are generally hidden (unless you have manually altered the proportions of the image displayed in a service menu).

All video streams are encoded with an AC3 soundtrack - even on the HD channels.

LPCM would have given a lossless copy of the sky audio stream, instead of this compressed lossy version. People record in Wav for a reason you know. BTW the green line does not bother you at all? A one second blip on my share was VERY distressing for you, but you seem to have dropped your standards for this share. Why is that Dave?

I seem to have stirred up bit of ill-feeling here regading the audio on this DVD. I always try to provide the best quality DVD I can but am no expert. My hope is that people can enjoy the DVD for what it is....a home-produced version of an HD transmission.

You can't make a lossless recording from a lossy stream and I simply aimed to make people aware of the fact that the broadcast was not lossless in the first place, and nothing more. #2: If the remainder of your response is aimed at me, firstly I've downloaded neither version and therefore have made no comment on the "blip" nor have I seen this green line.....
