I'm totally gutted. His music means so much to me, and after debunking the false reports of his death a few years back and him actually releasing a new album in '09, it seemed he would be going strong a little while longer.

For those of you that don't know him by name, he is the man responsible for "Stuck In the Middle With You", "Baker Street" and slew of other classic songs.

I don't know what more to say...

Thanks for the memories Gerry. No doubt your former Humblebum colleague Billy Connolly will miss you too.......

Stuck in the Middle was one of those songs to which I could listen over and over and over and never got tired of it. He was a great one. Will be missed.

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

I just love the guitar-playing on the "City To City" album. I've played it in his memory today, and it sounded as great as ever. He is one of those musicians who truly *will* be missed.

What a year it has been for famous people dying. As well as Gerry, there has also been Pete Postlethwaite, Babe author Dick King-Smith and now Japan bass player Mick Karn....... and those are just the ones I can remember...

Great year for celebs so far......
