Listening to the song Surrounded by Dream Theater, I couldn't help but notice that the beginning of it sounded a lot like the beginning in Father to Son. I know that Dream Theater are big fans of Queen, so this was probably no mistake. Anyone else notice this or notice any other inspiration of Queen in their songs?

Welcome, newcomer

Someone posted this last summer on qzone.  I had never put the two together until then.

In the old days, there were many good posters who were big DT fans (GH is still here).  Thanks to seeing them and Qryche together, and reading this zone, I became a big fan.  Saw them about 10x afterwards.

Guitar cords that just JUMP out at you midway during each track...........'Fatal Tragedy' from 'Scenes'.......and,
'Misunderstood' from 'Six Degrees'.

Their medley of 'Tenemant Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley' was pretty good....could have been better.

anyhoo...........good ears, mate
