My wife works for an international art company, they are changing location and where told to choose one peace of art to take from the wherehouse "unclamed orders and such" so the company didn't have to move the stuff. well she picked This numbered fine art canvas it was created using a sophisticated digital printer. The canvas is
stretched and ready to hang and is produced in a limited edition of 195 prints.
It is number 4/195

Item is in the plastic that it came in, never been removed. It is in MINT condition.

I've never understood why these things are worth so much, tbh.  Let's face it, it's a widely available picture on a bit of bloody canvas.  Not dissing your sale, btw, as it's a better price than the link you provided, it's just the idea that something so bland is worth so much.

A ultra famous super star with a world wide fan base in the tins of millions gets a photo taken that ends up being a one of a kind pose, Someone makes exactly 195 giant copies of said photo on a high dollar canvas with a high tech digital printer.
Oh and did I mention that there are 195 real ones on planet earth. Or maybe its just nice to walk into a room and see your idol standing proudly over your mantle on a $750 canvas you paid $550 OBO for :) I would pay it for one of Ronnie James Dio, But that's how Dio fans are, we love him that much.

Just out of interest, what's to stop someone else making a 196th copy?

What with it being a widely available image, and canvas not being a dimishing resource....

My point exactly.  This dude seems to think that because Freddie is an icon that this automatically makes the item worth something.  Like I said, it's not as high a price as some, but still never worth that kind of money.

You cant just go copying others work, you know that little thing called copy writing. Whoever made these had to have bought the wright to copy the original photo made by Richard E. Aaron its no different then a book or a tape, you must have permission to make copies and distribute them. Furthermore I imagin the people that paid Richard E. Aaron for the wright to copy, produce and sell the canvas also made sure he couldn't just go do it with other company's, some people "do" use there brains,
Yes my simple minded friends there really are ways to make a "L I M I T E D" "E D I T I O N" A "L I M I T E D" "E D I T I O N" or else there would be no such thing as say a "L I M I T E D" "E D I T I O N" lol . I tell you what, you go call some art company and ask them to reproduce this "L I M I T E D" "E D I T I O N" canvas.
You will find there are laws all over the world that protect "L I M I T E D"  "E D I T I O N" work,

P.S. Im p.s.ing you To answer your question as simple as possible in the hopes that you will understand and let people that do understand the terribly difficult concept know as  "L I M I T E D"  "E D I T I O N" talk to me . As for this line of conversation
well lets just say im done with it, I just hope an admin will delete this after school special " A day on the short buss" chat session.

What fucking planet do you live on, you L I M I T E D** E D I T I ON  naive cretin?  Btw, don't talk down to us - you may think that you're making us look foolish, but we live in the real world and it's only yourself you're making the fool of.  Yep, it's true that SOME companies won't do this, but I bet you my last bit of spunk that I could have them printed up in such numbers by tomorrow, if I really wanted to.  Are you actually so incredibly stupid NOT to notice that the world is full of countefeits?  LMFAO.

You know what?  I'm starting to get the sense that I'm being patronised here.  It's just an inkling, though, as my new friend the dude seems to be operating in a langauge where spelling is fluid and grammar is a distant relative.

If I'm right though, it's an interesting sales technique.

Just send the jpeg to:

http://www.pictureitoncanvas.com

You can choose your size and price ($ 383 for a 36 x 48 inch print)

Or take it to any local photo shop. They don't bother about copy rights at all.

To late Peter, I already bought it at $1.50 (that included the postage to Glasgow).
