Sorry if it's already been noted or discussed, there's so many different threads across the board about the remasters that I've lost the plot lol

Anyway, had a wee look on iTunes and you DON'T have to purchase the full albums to obtain the bonus tracks/videos, which is good news.  I think the general thought here before was that we would have to buy the whole damn thing over again.

Also, anyone noticed that SHA 2011 album is NOT on iTunes?

Sorry again if I'm slow off the mark with this thread.

Why the hell anyone buy a lossy itunes download for the same price they can get a physical CD for is beyond me!
Obviously there are some idiots out there with more money than sense.

All the videos appear to be available as individual downloads at £1.89 each.
Individual audio tracks are 99p each.

Previews are also available on both video and audio. =============================================================================================

Yep, it appears to be there now.  It was definitely missing earlier (and even now that it is up, it's listed as 1974 wheras all the others state 2011).

Glad to see that all the bonus content (well, the vids at least) can be bought separately.  Would never contemplate buying a full album from iTunes when I could have the physical CD.

Queenonline says that "each deluxe album has also been released on iTunes featuring bonus tracks plus additional sleeve notes, unseen pictures and videos".

Just wondering- if anyone here has downloaded one of the deluxe versions on iTunes...

Does the above-mentioned blurb mean that those who download the deluxe versions on iTunes get additional sleeve notes and unseen pictures which are NOT in the deluxe CD releases??

I have indeed been "stupid" enough to buy one of the iTunes albums.  I bought Queen.  Why?  Because although I am not made of money, I wanted to see exactly what you get when you purchase an iTunes album.

You do get a lot of stuff.  I haven't bought the CD yet, but there is a very large photo gallery on the iTunes album that I cannot imagine is on the CD - it has pictures of all the original single and album covers, live pictures, pictures of costumes etc etc.  You can also access sleeve notes, and photo or video menus.

It is a very good package, and I have no idea what the CDs are like.  In reality if I was made of money I would probably buy both.  But I'm not, so it will be the CDs and the videos as a seperate purchase.

Oh, just realised.  Been here years and this is my first post!

Wow. That actually sounds pretty good. I'm a sucker for single sleeves.

Now I'm tempted to get both.

Thanks a lot for the info, Cockeye. Seriously tempted to get at least one iTunes deluxe version...

Ok,

Seriously tempted I was...and gave in to the temptation. I bought the iTunes Deluxe version of Queen 2, and a very nice package it is too. There is a nice section of rather tasty photos, and I have also just enjoyed the 'instrumental mix' of SSOR.

P.s Someone at iTunes/QP clearly has some spelling issues, as ' virtuoso' is misspelled in the sleeve notes (if anyone from QP is reading this, my services as a proofreader are available- you guys also misspelled ' extravagant' in the sleeve notes for the 30th Anniversary edition of ANATO. And yes, I probably do need to get out more often).
