Jim Carrey and... it seems there were a few other favourite comedians but damn! I've forgotten their names.

Anyway, Freddie is the best comedian for me. It makes me laugh because of what he does at the concerts :-)

True, but the question was ''Who is your favourite?"

pure standup, then here are a few of the standup comics i've seen live over last couple of years:

Dara O'Briain
Ed Byrne
Frankie Boyle
Kevin Bridges
Rich Hall
Tommy Tiernan
Milton Jones
Simon Day
...and the God that is Eddie Izzard

also saw the Fast Show and Bottom live on their final tours quite a few years ago now

if i had the chance, would love to see Robin Williams, Sean Lock and Miles Jupp

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned, except one - Bo Burnham.  Everyone should check this young fellow out.

A great Canadian comedian passed away yesterday - Roger Abbott.  Royal Canadian Air Farce is quite possibly the most revered comedy series in my country's history, and this is the man who started it all - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLXtpTN95Us

============================

Air Farce was so unfunny.  Awkward and lame and knee jerk anti-American at every chance.  I found the whole thing kind of embarrassing.  Now Rick Mercer?  That's another story. ;)
