what Queen things do you collect? like CD's, shirts etc....
i personally collect anything and everything!
i have a framed picture of them i got from my grandad for christmas from the market, a big poster from "absolute greatest" and many pictures i printed off from online, and i sent off for a wee poster of Queen from the 70's, and a we will rock you poster, not as big as the greatest hits one but the same size as the one i sent off for on ebay, and a small painted picture of them from i want to break free, i found it in merry hill, it was 3 for £5 so i got the Queen one, a david bowie one and a johnny depp one, i have them stuck above my wardrobe, and some CD's, absolute greatest, Queen, Queen II, sheer heart attack, a night at the opera, a day at the races and news of the world, i also have a "drawn" sketch of freddie from the 80s, and two books, albolute greatest, mercury and me (which i got for £3 from the market) and i dont know the name of the other one, its white. and some magazines, the Q mag, Mojo and (if it counts as a magazine) one of the "bookleet" things from we will rock you,
today i was in HMV and was looking at some of the shirts and they HAD a Queen one! it was "a night at the opera" and god i was so close to buying it but im trying to save my money and it was about £11.99, and i saw a Queen mug with the crest of it for £5.99. since the weather is getting better im going to wash my mom and grandads cars so i can get a bit of money to save up for it, i had £20 with me but i dont really want to go under £20, so save up i shall do!
i'm going to try upload some pictures onto here to show you, but remember im still a stranger to uploading pictures from files :)
so how about everyone else?what Queen things do you all collect? :)

I'm about the music itself, not necessarily the format. I don't buy every re-issue of the albums. I own the 1991 HR re-issues from Queen to The Miracle, the original 1991 HR release of Innuendo an all the original studio and live releases that followed, first on CD and maybe if I can find the LP cheaply. I do have all the studio albums on vinyl, too, because at first that's all I could afford in the early '90s, buying them cheap at yard sales. If I find a single I don't have, if the price is right, I'll get it.

For me, though, my passion lies in different versions. Single Versions, Edits, Remixes, 12" Versions, you name it. I'm not sure how or why I'm interested in them, but I was fascinated when I first heard differences between versions on collections compared to the Album Version. I like hearing different approached to the same recording, like taking stuff out, expanding  the sound, adding new elements...all it is interesting to me.

That interest grew into the hobby of collecting these versions (and outtakes and demos and whatever else). I think the original Trainspotter's Guide site had a lot to do with it. Reading the descriptions of the different versions just made me want to hear them and that minor obsession has not abated in 20 years.

As far as other things, like T-shirts, yes, I have a few. I don't hunt for them, but since they are practical clothes, I'll pick one up or get one as a gift. I think I own a pair of Queen boxers too, which were also a gift. I also have a few posters in storage which I ought to get framed, maybe. I have two reproduction concert ads on my wall, just because I was sick of staring at a blank wall.

Perhaps my most unique Queen-related item is a matted and framed print of the Richard Dadd painting "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke." The painting came to Toronto in 1997 as pair of a world-touring Fairy Exhibit (it was very cool) and was at the AGO. I was thrilled to hear the painting was in it, having always wondered what it looked it (no internet, remember). I loved it and got a print and later got it framed.

As for things like Freddie Mercury action figures or bobbleheads, no, I don't go anywhere near that stuff. I have a few books, mostly bought for research purposes.

Otherwise, that's about it. That's more stuff than I thought I had.

No shirts yet and I REFUSE TO BUY ANY of the 46664 and/or Queen + Paul Rodgers shit.

It's either the original lineup related or I don't buy.

Having been a full blown Queen fan since 1989, I will stick with things pertaining to material from 1971-1997

I have to rebuild on Roger and Brian's solo albums.

My collection consist of all the CD's. Most of the Hollywood records versions and a couple of gold CD's (ANATO and TG) I must have bought those when I was feeling flush. I did collect all the singles many years ago and 12" singles. I had the vinyl records but gave these to my brother years ago although I still have a colour copy of Queen II with the lyrics and the Jazz LP with the poster inside.

I have bought the Greatest Hits DVD releases and concerts. I have also bought a couple of bootleg live concerts but the ones I got were very poor quality.

I have a CD called The Collection of Brian May which has A Time for Heroes (with Meatloaf) What are We Made of and Il Collosal on it which I think is pretty rare and the Furia soundtrack with Dream of Thee on it (fantastic Brian track to look out for if you haven't heard it) and I got the Freddie box set.

I have quite alot of T-shirts, bought most of them from the conventions over the years.

Other than that some mug mats (album covers) that I got for christmas and some fridge magnets.......

Oh and I did buy The Cosmos Rocks with bonus concert DVD. It's alright, one or two songs are pretty good but it's not comparable with the other other Queen records.

just out of interest....  "lifetimefanofqueen"  what age are you?
because above you come across as 14 needing to do chores for pocketmoney...yet....in a previous post you imply you are happily living with your "partner" so the above comes across a little confusing

Every UK album on LP, CD and cassette, as well as all the HR re-issues, the Japanese re-issues from 1998 and then again from 1991 on CD, all the major box sets, all the UK 7", 12" and CD singles, a load of LPs from around the World, picture discs, promos, coloured vinyls, all the official DVDs and all the Solo stuff (again on LP, CD and cassette), with a load of variations.  Also, a load of bootleg audios and DVDs, tour programmes, signed stuff, books, toys etc.  And that's just to begin with!  Literally thousands of items.

It ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit: how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!
