See the promo itself for the full effect.  I would NOT describe it as PG-13 (brief nudity - so beware youngest fans)
Here's how it breaks down.  Clocks in at 1:21.
A promo for the June release of the next 5 re-mastered albums + Deep Cuts 2.
Promo is set to the following:
1) We Will Rock You
2) Flash
2) Dragon Attack
3) AOBTD
4) Under Pressure
5) Spread Your Wings
6) Save Me
7) Play The Game
8) Let Me Entertain You
9) Fat Bottomed Girls
10) Don't Stop Me Now
11) Crazy Little Thing Called Love
12) Bicycle Race
13) We Are The Champions

I'll be right behind you, right until the ends of the Earth

The fact that this promo's specific purpose is to promote the 77-82 period, the fact that it is absolutely laden with footage from both before 1977 and after 1982 shows (to me) that those responsible for putting it together are just useless at their job and haven't noticed these mistakes, or even worse know of these incorrect inclusions but simply don't give a toss.

Is it too much to ask that the footage used for a couple of minutes promo is all from the period it is trying to promote???

I didn't see any footage before 1977...I did see stuff from one of Freddie's parties in 1985, and of course the bit about Samantha Fox and Freddie which was 1986. So yes, that could have been done better. It's going to be intersting in the next promo bit, with Queen trying to depict almost 10 years into a promo clip. We'll see what happens I guess...

After watching the clip....I think there is a point that everyone previous has overlooked.....the albums that are to be released from the years 1977-1982....they were the bands main party years...and i think the person who put this montage together waas trying to convey that....that their life at the time ( especially Freddies ), was one long party with music attached... ...whereas the albums before were the exact opposite, Music, with a party attached...

Isn't the term 'promo' short for promotion. That being the case this 'advertisement' is meant to attract people into buying the cd.It looks exciting to me and makes me want to buy it.Being picky about whether small bits of the 'promo' are from the correct era is just ridiculous. It serves the purpose. It promotes!!

Yes, I agree myself that I am probably being over-analytical, but when the trailer is 'advertising and 'promoting' a specific set of albums covering a specific period of time in the band's history (as is confirmed by the onstage graphics at the start) then my thinking is that the visual teasers given shoudl cover only that period.

If this isn't the intention, and they were bound by those 'rules', then they should really have included far more of the more well known and popular stuff like clips from Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, The Magic Tour etc... which would help sell it more to the masses; but they haven't, which leads me to believe that the intention was to use only period-relevant clips, but they just got lazy.

It's just one of those things that bugs me as, opposed to QPL over the last 15 years or so,  I'm a believer in doing things properly, with care and attention to every detail!
