Hi all, i am new posting here and i am a Queen fans since 1991. I am always reading anypost here, and I can say that here are really fans who are sharing a lot of beautifull gems!. Congrats!

I have something that I couldn't see here and I would like to share with all of you, giving back what you do for the fans

I have a mp3 copy (sorry for the source) of the transmittion of 1989 Queen interview called "Queen for an Hour", edited with Queen songs as intervals, as it was transmitted by BBC!!. I know that a complete uncut version is included in the famous Green box from Hollywood Records (Queen Talks extra cd), but I am only asking if I can post the original BBC Transmittion recorded by the Radio (not the Green Box track).

And also, i can included a txt file with the transcription of it. :)

I await suggestions, because i don't know if it is considered as Official or Legal

Thanks you all for keep this community alive day after day!!!

I'm no expert, but I'd say probably not, since it contains released Queen tracks throughout. If you cut those out, maybe, but as you say the full interview is available as well.

Still, it would be interesting to know what songs were played and where, and what was edited out of the interview. On that level, it's worth sharing, but I'd let the moderators decide if it's appropriate to post here. Personally, I've never heard the broadcast version, so I'd be a bit interested to hear it.

If the answer is no, maybe trying posing the edited (songs removed) version on YouTube. If you do cut the songs out, keep at least a fragment (a few seconds in) so we know which song went where.

Hi RhyeKing.

The broadcast version has, Killer Queen, I Want It all and other official songs, i will cut them out. And then all the interview edited...you can hear only 30minutes, not all the questions that you can hear on the Queen Talks cd. Very very compressed

I will wait for the moderators decision, meanwhile i will cut the Official and knowledge songs.

Thanks

If the interview was officially released, then it probably shouldn't be shared here.  I'm all in favour of bending the rules whenever possible, but it doesn't seem like there's much gray area in this case.  Or are there bits of the interview from the broadcast that were cut from the official release?

Hi SirGH

The intreview cuts came from the later Official release, but this is the original transmition (29th May 1989 by BBC) recorded,,,maybe with cassette...from the radio.

And also it has some songs, after listened all again, here you have which songs are included.

The song among questions comes in this order:

Party (not fully broadcasted)
The miracle (not fully broadcasted)
A song called Veronica from ??? (NOt Queen, really, i don't who sings this one)
Breakthru (not fully broadcasted)
Barcelona (a little piece only)
Rain Must Fall (not fully broadcasted)
Natural Women (Aretha Franklin)
Song ??? from ??? (not Queen, same as Veronica song previously mentioned)
My Baby Does Me (not fully broadcasted)
I Want it all (not fully broadcasted)
I am the Walrus,...yes!! The great Beatles song :) (edited and not fully broadcasted)
I Want It All (not fully broadcasted)
The Invisible Man (not fully broadcasted)
Was It all Worth It (not fully broadcasted)

When I wrotte (not fully broadcasted), I mean, no more than 2 minutes and a half of each song.

So, if you can give me the green pass, i will upload it :), otherwise i will leave only no more than 20/25 seconds of each one.

Wait for a moderator to give the go-ahead, otherwise, don't post it, lest you unleash a righteous fury from the staff.

Sure, no problem. This is a very gray situation about copyrights, isn't it?

The songs aren't fully broadcasted, so it should be all right, I think : )

I have always wanted to hear that interview...

============

It's by Elvis Costello - one of the best songwriters ever in pop music.

I think each member was allowed to choose a favourite non queen song
Veronica was John Deacons choice as I think its his wifes name.

Oh, sorry for my ignorance. I do not  usually hear pop music too.
