I had to watch this unfortunately as my wife and Daughter love it but I did have a little wry smile when they were introducing Anita Dobson and the backing song........Dont Stop Me Now because we all know how much Brian loves that song! I bet he was seething while watching.......

Anita and Robin performed a waltz and Dr. Bri was in the house (see 1:42) to look on as his
missus finished her first dance.  The judges reactions:   "Elegant"   "Most Sincere Dance of the Night"
"Gorgeous."    Robin and Anita make a great pairing and received an enthusiastic audience reaction and decent
scores for their first dance.   They received 4 sevens from the judges for a combined score of 28.

So check out tonight's performance:

(and yes, this is all I've got going on a Friday night)

She really is a wrinkly old battle-axe.  I'd be Strictly Running In The Other Direction.

Watching Brian there I couldn't help but think that it must be a little strange on some level to watch your wife in that kind of physical closeness with another man in an unfamiliar and oddly intimate situation in which you are decidedly on the outside.  She's an actress of course, and  there's quite a bit of acting going on there, and this is a job, but they were practically snuggling when they were getting their feedback. LOL  All part of the show and part of building support in these things, but I still imagine it would just be a bit difficult for a man to watch.  I wonder if it's possible to avoid feeling a bit irrationally cuckolded sitting there in the audience.  Maybe it is.  What do I know. :)  Anyway, good on Brian for being so warmly supportive on his Soapbox and with his presence at the stupid show.

Anita's had her turn on the sidelines 'lo these many months - having to watch Brian in close orbit with Kerry & Lady Gaga. It's been a bit daunting!  Perhaps this is just what the doctor ordered to put a bit of spice into things.  Good on Anita for fighting fire with fire!  ;+)

Anita was on Something for the weekend yesterday and she said before Strictly started that she was worried about how brian would react to her being in the spotlight and her happiness at the dancing but apprantly brian said to her they he could see why she was so pleased to be doing the dancing

He'd hardly be one to point the finger, having spent so much time recently jamming his log into Kerry Ellis.
