Another one of my favorite artists. I also have a channel called "GregsynthWizard" (where I upload my Elton recordings).

Madman Across the Water is one of my favourite 3 albums of all time. 'Levon' is particular is one of those songs that makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Its amazing there was no extra material/outtakes on the reissues a few years ago.

There is a Levon demo on youtube which is amazing

Oh, man, couldn't agree more about Levon.  Easily in my top 10 or 20 of all time.  It's one of those songs that is so fundamentally good that it's weirdly both immensely hard to screw up and yet impossible to be entirely worthy of.  That said, this is a cover I enjoy.  It's not perfect, but it's worth a play.

Everytime I hear it I wish it didn't fade out... I want it to carry on forever.. by the way, before I click on the link above it better not be that turgid crap by Jon Bon bastard Jovi......

Ok... so it wasn't Jon Bon bastard Jovi but someone who sings in the style of Jon Bon bastard Jovi.. arguably worse....

Perhaps we will see his 70s gems in restored quality some day, or 30 years from now.
Another thing that puzzles me is the lack of Face to Face-tour releases, you'd think they (EJ and Billy Joel) would have done a live-dvd by now and a duet (or they recorded one but never released it).
