Many of you, probably face te same problem as I do! I live in a small apartment and have collected (downloaded) and storaged many numbers of dvd media. After I burned concert to a printable media, I also make a backup dvd as many of you probably do the same!?
In last  6 years I have backuped total number of 230 dvd of queen material and 290 other artists dvd media.

Up unti now I have storaged every single dvd media in a "Slimline CD Jewel Case", but that is takeing too much space in room and closets, right!??
So I would like to hear how do you backup and storage your dvd media!?? What is the most practical way!?
I searched on amazon and there are 2 different ways of storageing dvd media, so I'm hesitant on this two "organisers":

1. Is it better to storage dvd media in this metal alumunium "Storage Case" which can holds upto, 200, 390, 500, 800, 1000 dvd media!?

2. Or is it better safer to storage dvd media in this "Media Organiser Wallet" for 240, 320, 400, 500 dvd media!?

I just use little slip cases and store them in crates.  It takes up very little room, it's cheaper, and less plastic used is better for the environment too.  Win/win/win.

Do NOT buy the alluminium case unless you have a REALLY big flat.
I have one for 1000 discs, and it sucks. It's large, the only place where I could put it is under my bad. The organizing is very inpractical, I can't find anything there

No, use as much plastic as you can. Otherwise it goes to land fill.

Do you see?

No, I don't.

The less we as consumers demand it, the less it will be sold in stores.

I'm not sure if I understand right (since english is not my first language). So, you put every single dvd in some kind of paper/plastic sleeve
http://www.sleevetown.com/paper-cd-sleeves.shtml
http://www.supermediastore.com/category/u/cd-dvd-blu-ray-paper-sleeve-sleeves
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CD-SLEEVES-100/dp/B000N8FIL0
http://www.amazon.co.uk/100-x-NEO-CD-SLEEVES/dp/B000WUK0B2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1323435489&sr=8-2
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Strand-Paper-Sleeves-transparent-window/dp/B000KDRRP8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323435489&sr=8-3

and than you store all this hundreds dvd media in some kind of "box storage" like this:

Sorry for being such pain in the ass, but I'm a  bit worried as I have to reorganize everything in my "storageing and archiving process"!

Exactly.  But for the storage crate, I was thinking of something more like this..

It's much cheaper !  But obviously a smaller one, since there are LPs in this one :-)

i was wrilly thrilled when I first saw allu case, I was thinking this must be great to have a place for 1000 dvd media to store at once! But I wa a bit warried about the total weight!? I was thinking the only place to put it is under the bad and on top of the wardrobe closet. This allu case when is filled with total capacity of 1000 dvds probabval weights cca30kg, right!? Did you try to put it on top of the closet or is it to heavy for carrying around the room!??
