Hey Guys .

First off, new member here PJ :)

Been a queen fan since the early 1980s (i am in my early 30s) when mum and dad used to play "Queen live at wembley 86"
over and over again in the car on long journeys - thus Queen were placed in my psyche early on.

Anyway, got a video that i think you guys will really enjoy - featuring two Queen/Freddie piano songs - "Bohemian Rhapsody", and "You're my Best friend" - both brilliant riffs that i had to include on the video of the "History of pop and rock in 100 piano riffs"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3ySSKqctHg

Hope you like it - im playing on doing a queen only one soon - so any suggestion would be great!

I had loads that i had to leave out but hope you will enjoy all the others and the queen facts i have put in :)

Look forward to discussing more

PJ

I think you may find that John Deacon played eletric piano on the track You Are My Best Friend.

Welcome newbie. Just a little joke. You say you got into Queen in the (early 80s). When your mum and dad played Wembley 86 in the car.

Ok early 80s???? Wembley 1986 isnt early 80s.
Wembley 86 didnt get released until 1992.
Was it live magic? The edited tape version?
Or did your mum and dad have a time travelling car?
Was it a very early christmas present?
Was it the original recording from the day(have they got Knebworth also?).

Wembley was on the radio and tv at the time of the gig, so he could have had an audio copy from one of those sources?!?

Ah sorry - thats a good question!

It was a live album - your right it couldnt of been 86, it was before that- probs about 84!

I always thought it was queen live at wembley - hmmmm.

I may be wrong - will need to check with mum and dad!

Sorry for the mis information but i was little :P

And yes Seven Seas of rhye belongs in there- just because of the magnitude of condensing the history of pop and rock music down to 100 meant i had little room.

But, i am in the middle of doing a queen only list, albeit a little short :)

Any suggestions welcome

Hey, For those that want to specifically look at the Queen
songs in the video, here are the times and track numbers:

Queen - Your my Best friend 27) 7:52
Bohemian Rhapsody 51) 14:25

I really want to do a recording and tutorial for seven seas of Rhye next , as that is an awesome piano queen song.

Please take the time to have a look and let me know what you think :)
