Apparently there's a new release by Wardour, called "Wembley Stadium 1986".
Collectors music reviews says:
"Wardour have come up with a fascinating Queen release. Wembley Stadium 1986 (Wardour-096) is a 4CD set with superb audience tapes of the legendary July 11th and July 12 London shows on the A Kind Of Magic tour."

I'm probably the only one on this forum but if this info is correct, I'd like to give those "superb audience recordings" a listen...:-)

Anyone got any info about this?

These "superb audience recordings" are the ones that have been available in the past years? If yes, I'd like to listen to them only if Wardour have improved the recordings' quality. But if these "superb audience recordings" are new sources...mmm.

Wouldn't it be fun if they simply ripped sound from the official DVDs ?

Well previously I've been looking forward to "Play The Silent Night", because according to the review

"Queen Play The Silent Night is a tremendously exciting release, covering Queen’s amazing concert for The Concerts For The People Of Kampuchea benefit on December 26th, 1976. It not only has the excellent audience tape on 2CDs, but also all the known footage on one DVD."

But when I got it I realised that they actually bootlegged MY MERGE which I shared here for free. And the sound is definitely NOT coming from an "excellent audience tape" . So I wouldn't be surprised if Wardour did something similar with Wembley

Why would anyone want to put money into bootleggers pockets for something that is commercially avaiable anyway.

I'm assuming the only reason anyone would have for buying this crap is to hear the shows without overdubs.

Since I'm pretty sure some/maybe all of the 2nd show is available in decent quality with no overdubs, I'm not sure why anyone would fork out for this.

You really shouldn't be giving out company secrets.  I hope somebody reports you to QPL because saying stuff like that is likely to shelve the release of this wonderful set and the next one...  1981 Montreal on 3 CDs

Sound is nice. Would be interesting to synch this to the videos from the show.

They're a bit odd. They sound great and they're taped right near the stage. The old sources had much worse quality and were taped further. But I doubt about one thing. Maybe Wardour have spliced the old sources (improving their quality, of course) with audio ripped off the official videos (destroying its quality to make it sound more like an audience recording)? I can't confirm it properly. We need Bob over here.

For me it sounds like two new sources and they sound better than the old sources. The second night is simply amazing compared with the old audience source.
