Go to India... donate money to where i work and then bye bye! Or at least cut my hours waaaayyy down... buy a really nice flat somewhere central in town, and make the sitting room cosy and welcoming, somewhere big enough that i could have friends over without panicking. um... hire someone to take care of dad for longer so mum could get a break every week... um... travel... and buy really nice clothes and shoes!!! (maybe that should have been first!)

If I won the lottery, I would save/invest 90% of it. A fair chunk of people who win the lottery end up penniless because they still don't know how to manage money. It's best not to become one of them!

I'd spend my money buying anything Queen-related. But I wouldn't spend everything on it. I'd leave some money for some other things as well.

On the twin assumptions that I have just won serious f-you money and my son is a young adult living on his own, this is what I would do: Ensuring that my son was set up and comfortable and happy and able to visit me often, I would take a year's leave of absence from my job, shutter my house, and move to a nice little apartment in another city for a year. A large city with beautiful spaces in it and a city that offers the ability to see any film at the theatre I want to, great concerts and great museums and such and interesting places to go. Bonus if it has an NHL team. I would take cooking and French classes for fun and several uni classes in literature and history for personal enrichment. I'd buy really expensive ice skates and I might get a new pedicure every time so much as an ill wind blew across my toes. I'd give my boyfriend a million dollars so he wouldn't miss me, or two million to forget about me all together. Ha ha. At the end of this year I would decide whether to go back home and resume my old life or continue with my new one. I wouldn't quit my working life even if I could afford to, but I'd probably try to build a home based IT consulting business so I could have a great deal of flexibility for travel and other things. I would buy a summer cottage on a quiet lake in Northern Ontario or Ontario's Muskokas so no matter where I lived I could always go home. Eventually I'd get around to philanthropy, once I figured out how to do so effectively. Finally, I'd hire a genius to develop an oscillating flux capacitor that replaced the sound of Adam Lambert's voice with the sound of infant colic anywhere it appeared in the world. Just because. :P

From where I come, real estate would be a good place to stash it. So I'd make some purchases in property - shops, apartments, etc. Then give up my job and live on the returns.

Did you know that when Paul Rodgers was asked on a radio show to name the most beautiful place he could think of in all the places he'd travelled in the world during his career he came up with the Muskokas? And this is a guy who has a) travelled the world and b) spends a great deal of time in the Okanagan. We're very blessed here in Ontario.

If I won the lottery I would pay people to spell properly and not use txt tlk and acronyms to ask how I would spend my money if I won the lottery. By the way 'loose' means something that isn't tight. 'Lose' is the opposite of win. Why is that so hard to understand?

"what would u do if u wont the lottery?" The first thing I would probably do is call the lottery, and ask them where they got my personal information from, and how it is possible for them to include me in a lottery I did not buy a ticket to. The second thing I'd do is contact a lawyer to see if there are any grounds to have the lottery shut down. As you have probably surmised by now, I hate lotteries. Lotteries are a way of scamming gullible people out of their money - even roulette gives you better odds. It's not coincidental that lotteries were invented by the mafia.

Actually the lottery was invented by Noah. ... who also invented the world's first cruise ship.

I'd keep doing my art until I die and certainly I'd rescue a lot more animals from the streets and keep them all living with me and my family in a charming 17th century manor house in the north of Portugal with a lot of green grass fields to play around. And I'd listen to QUEEN while feeding my ducks, fish and turtles in the lake.
