The BBC is quoting an official statement from Queenonline: "It is with very heavy hearts and much regret that we announce the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth 2012", though I didn't see it on there.

That is Freddie's way of saying 'Darlings, Paul Rodgers was wonderful, but I'm not having you replace me with that bitch Adam Lambert'. Sorry to be missing KISS and The Darkness... Fanpower!

This is one of the best news I've heard lately!

This might mean they can concentrate on live releases much better now.

What, the whole festival?

That stinks. Can't say I wanted to hear Adam Lambert specifically but these shows usually give up one or two nice surprises somewhere in the proceedings.

I feel kind of bad for them. Either way, doesn't mean that they won't use Lambert again.

One can only hope any and all gigs with Queen and Lumpshit will not come to fruition. Next gift would be canceling the Moscow gig.
