Brian let it be known on his soapbox that a fews days ago he was busy getting a Visa for the U.S.

Hmmmmm? So coming to the US then?

For the Extravaganza rehearsals/planning?

Practice with Adam?

Routine sightseeing?

NASA?

Wildlife?

Gaga?

Attending Breakthru this summer?

Guess we'll have to stay tuned.

I'm not that keen on the matter since I'm brazilian but why would Brian May as an english citizen need a visa to US?

Aren't british citizens exempt of visa to US?

Yes, I wonder too. Is there a circumstance that requires it? Such as working at the destination?

Maybe someone else here knows the answer?

Slighty off topic, but I'm planning on going to Brazil for the World Cup in 2012. I heard you need a VISA to travel to Brazil, is this correct?

If you are european (under the Schengen Space), no, you don't need a visa for tourism purposes to come to Brazil. But if you're american, yes, you need it, as the politics for visa are based on reciprocity and brazilians despite spending billions of dollars in the US, still need a visa to travel in.

I've just readed some info on the US Visa Waiver Program (wich determinates eligible countries for visa-free entry into the
United States) and the United Kingdom is, as I thought, on the list. Of course this is only for full british citizens and that's
pretty much the case of Brian May. Resulting that if Brian was applying for a visa, it must be for working/economic purposes.

Info on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_Waiver_Program

American Idol seems to figure into this, however there's so much going on with the QE and also AL ....... Therefore a work visa, perhaps? Seems to fit.

You don't need a visa for business purposes either.
Just thought I'd clarify that. :P
