will there come a time when q/zone will close down. everything that has been bootleged.video or audio will have been shared, and people will just come for the odd abusive post, i personally think that the time will come when this will happen when theres nothing left to share. but i will still come on for some nice posts of friends i have made over the years, maybe someone will come up with the ultimate share and then q/zone will continue for a few months while people squabble over who has the better recording/video. someone will share sudbury and be the king of kings........or has the final nail in the coffin been hammered home to such an extent that q/zone is now just a battlefield,of bickering and abuse. as for me i like it here, most are friendly and post some great comments.and over the years have been nice to me(and helpfull).thanks. but the time will come when things go downhill and the petty bickering and personal slagging will be to much and the organisers of q/zone will have had enough. it would be a shame because this site has helped me to look into the world of queen and queen+paul with a new light. i have not downloaded all the shares as i am not a big queen collector, some have downloaded everything.not me. i have never been able to share something as all my queen or queen + stuff has came from here...........i thank you all. if q/zone closed i would be at a loss at night as to what i read on the net(porn excluded),and it would be such a shame for the biggest queen sharing site to close. but the time may come when this happens, will it be sooner or later, who knows. one can only hope later as this has been part of my musical travels for some time. and maybe just maybe.someone has the complete version of its late live in berlin video.and shares before closure.... this is the rantings of an old man, ignore if you want.

You might wanna re-word the topic title there, Dave. I don't think Richard or Barb would appreciate that given the misleading nature of the title.

david (galashiels) wrote:and maybe just maybe.someone has the complete version of its late live in berlin video The 1 minute video is all that exists. Those old 8mm videos were very fragmentary. One could only smuggle in a few reels, so they'd just get a few minutes of footage here and there. Either a few complete songs, or a whole bunch of incomplete songs. Usually the latter, as it was in the case of Berlin 79.

What was the title before, out of interest? And I doubt it'll get to a point in our lifetimes where there's absolutely nothing left to share

All things must pass and Napster, Audiogalaxy, megaupload bit the dust but Queenzone will stay forever :-)
I do not want any google ads here.

It wont ever close down because there will always be people who wish to stimulate varied and intelligent debate with questions like 'What is your favourite Queen album?' and 'What live show should Queen release on DVD next?' Bring on the future!!

The forum isn't gonna close down if it's updated to meet today's forums standards, this forum is stuck in the '90s. And the Absolute Greatest poll is still on the front page. New people would probably be more interested in the forum if it at least looked and worked good.

On February 29, 2024, all Queenzoners will have given up all there personal possessions and cash and come together in a cornfield where The Chosen Ones will leave this planet before it's destruction. But unfortunately, as FM warned us, there can be only one. So we'll all watch Queenzoner "jpf" board the starship as the ground we stand on disappears forever. Our last thought will be 'We should've listened to more KISS'.

I hope it will last long enough for me to try out david galashiel's suggestion to visit the site while drunk and be confused by the abbreviations (I'm 16 and live in America, so it will probably be another five years or so before I do any serious drinking) Flash Jazz wrote: The forum isn't gonna close down if it's updated to meet today's forums standards, this forum is stuck in the '90s. The AG poll has been bugging me for a while now, but would you mind clarifying a little more? What should be done to make the site more "up to date?" mooghead wrote: It wont ever close down because there will always be people who wish to stimulate varied and intelligent debate with questions like 'What is your favourite Queen album?' and 'What live show should Queen release on DVD next?'
