There are a few shots by DoRo around the venue and WATC was partly filmed by TV for promotion - there is nothing more. The helicopters are from Knebworth - Mannheim is the bit with Freddie kicking the ball into the audience. I do not want any google ads here.

There were quite few cameras.In the documentary Magic Years there are many shot from the air to the immense crowd and is Mannheim not Kneb. It ll never see the light but this is another point.

The ZDF TV station in Germany was allowed to stream "We Are The Champions" only and for all those who don't believe it watch the stream of the snippet of "RockSommer 1986" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_907mxtvFCs) I can translate what the moderator Peter Illmann is saying starting in time code 1:15: "The new bands were not able to gather more audiences then the old ones and time was running so fast so that we have come to an end now. Of course we would have liked to show you more from the RockSummer 1986 but our time is over and for some bands you can blame the management, too. For example on these guys where we were allowed to film 3 minutes only." and We Are The Champions starts... No more questions your honour! kind regards W.
