Any opinion? I just wanted to know what I can improve and where I should work on.
Singing is just an hobby I've never had lessons so any advice would be helpful.

I'm not really much of an expert where singing is concerned, however, I could notice two minor things: there is a clear difference in power between your low notes and your mid- to high notes, with the low ones lacking power. Try tightening your diaphragm on the low notes, and to sing "from your guts" on them.

The second thing concerns the high notes: mostly they're quite good, but sometimes it sounds like you're not 100% sure of the exact pitch, resulting in the notes being slightly (and just slightly) sharp or flat. It's always good practice to hit notes on the piano and try to sing them as accurately as possible while the piano is still reverberating.

Neither of these would be noticeable if you'd process the vocals with a slight amount of compression, and mix them a little deeper into the instrumental backing track.

Thanks so much. ;) I'll try to fix those things, and yes that's a pretty "homemade" recording, no effects of whatsoever, just a microphone and some reverb,
because I wanted it to sound clear so that you can give me advice as you did.
Also what do you think of this one? http://soundcloud.com/samanosuche/somebody

Ok, I'm getting kind of pissed off, but it's not entirely your fault. I still can't find those stupid fucking "me"s in the original Queen recording, and I'm not sure if they're in this one either. Could you confirm if you're singing "Save me, save me, save me," or if you're singing, "Save, save, save me." If you're singing it the first way, then I think there's something wrong with me because I'm not hearing them. If you're singing it the second way, then you apparently got it wrong. Just saying.

Anyway, pretty good. I agree with Thomas Quinn that your high notes could use a little more confidence, but this is pretty good overall. Freddie didn't have any formal vocal training either.

Honestly? I can hear it clearly. ANd if you don;t beleive me, you can see quite clearly in the original promo video and Montreal that Fred and Brian are singing Save Me.
