Did anyone see Adam Lambert on Graham Norton last night, He looks like hes put on weight. His voice sounded good, but i was just imagine how it would sound on the night with Queen playing and him singing Queen song? Also his album is out on the monday before the hammersmith concerts, lets hope he doesnt get chance to sing any tracks off it.

This is why we need a separate forum for AL stuff
Honey you're sparking something this far in me
I'm out of control, I want to rush headlong you've got a new go
And you're rushing headlong, out of control
And you think you're so strong.

How disingenuous the guy sung well looked good and the two songs I've heard so far have been excellent. I hope he does well.

Disingenuous to say that the two songs of his have been excellent - that may be, but his material is nothing to do with playing with Queen. If I said 'well I saw him sing with Queen and the songs were brilliant so his own material must be great', you'd say that's a stupid argument, so that should stand the other way around. However, I've already seen him sing three Queen songs with Queen and he was appalling, so that's probably better evidence to go on.

You go sing with them then.

I'm not saying I could do a better job, but I'm just saying that your argument, which is essentially 'I like a couple of his songs so he's bound to be good with Queen' just doesn't stand up. Lots of great singers perform their own material well, but have faltered badly when attempting Queen songs over the years. I genuinely too hope he does really well - however based on more relevant performance than two of his own songs (three songs at the MTV Awards), the vast majority of level headed Queen fans on this forum don't think he's the right man for this.

That's not my argument. Please read first post again, he said his CD is out soon let's hope he doesn't sing any of his songs, I said (yawn) I've heard two of his and I thought they were excellent and then you went on something about level headed fans and only wanting someone who can sing Queen songs properly. Do you mean sing them like the studio version or maybe someone who songs about bad boys and club tropicana. I've been to see Queen live with Freddie and too be frank he didn't sing them too well that day either.

pregnant? lol From that performance, he has a "small" voice. He may have big presence but his voice is smallish. Obviously I'm not into the technical of music, however, my ears are good and I can always hear any note thats off key. He just doesn't do it for me. Dare I say bubble gum and piss off the AL fans?

Oh god...Really?... I think he's not on the right planet to be fronting Queen, however, who gives a shit? seriously, He's a better singer than any of you could ever be, and probably going to shock us all when he's perfect at the job. Quit digging on him at least he's attempting to keep Queen alive by becoming the front man. And so fuck if he put on weight? does it really matter? His voice hasn't changed, so what's a few pounds? Everyone's problem is they can't handle change, because it's not 'Normal'. Get over it.
...Guaranteed to blow your mind...
