Too be honest, I thought the appearance of Brian and Roger was pretty pathetic. Nothing great at all unfortunately. The Who showed how older men can still rock in a decent way, but although I like Brian and Roger very much and respect them highly, I think this was no good. But hey, that's only my opinion ;-)

I thought the WHO was OK and all the fireworks and hoopla cut out most of their sound. Roger D. is still having some vocal issues.

Just watched it here in the States. Queen opened and closed the musical tribute, the way it should be. Queen was the best performance tonight!!!

Looked to me like they commanded the place unlike many, if not all, of the other acts. No one even came close. They were the "rock" in the rock n' roll!!!

Will all the moaners on this website stop complaining about anything or any what, god damn it! Appreciate what you get; not many bands get the privilege to make an appearance in such an event and accept that Freddie Mercury died 20 years ago and that new material will never reach the standard of what was produced in the 70's or 80's! Is this queenzone or fucking queenmoan??!

what 60+ yr old rock singer wouldn't be having some vocal issues?

the who were brilliant...and significantly better performance that "queen"

funny how you take freddie away from the performace, and the other two can't handle the hugeness of the occasion....and ironic that queen were outshone on the big stage by the very band they outshone on their last global co-appearance in 1985...the who

The Who were indeed the top performers. But your comparison to the remaining members of Queen is unfair . Given the Who still have their lead guitar and vocalist they are going to be closer to themselves than another band left with only a lead guitar and drummer. I thought Brian had a big presence and easily matched up to the size of the gig.

Wow, and here's me thinking The Who were a bit underwhelming. Maybe because I had never seen them play in their old age and I had only old DVDs as reference.

To me and to a bunch of people I know, Brian and Roger were one of the best parts. My sister is not a Queen fan and she send me a message saying how Bri and Rog rocked.

Brian sounded great in my opinion, perhaps even LOUDER? (Was Trip Khalaf again playing with the limiters backstage to make sure Queen were the loudest?). Even if I have heard Brian's boring solo a few hundred times it was very exciting to watch him do it with 2 billion people watching. It looked like people were enjoying it and that I didn't expect. I thought they would be heading for the toilet while Brian played! haha :)

No one's complaining. Why the fuck should we lower our standards?

I hadn't heard Brian's solo before and wasn't bored by it. It sounded louder to me too. I would have loved to have been in the stadium when he let it up. It looked spectacular on TV.

Why should you lower your standards? stop pointing your nose at the sky and lighten up.

I thought that it was great Brian played his solo from Brighton Rock, especially in front of millions of people as it shows that there is more to Queen than the usual suspect hits. I wasn't so happy about the hypocrate Jessie J performing with Queen, but was still better than Paul Rogers (and Lambert couldn't anyway because he's American). But overall, was very pleased with their performance. I thought The Who played good, but the Kaiser Cheifs were STUNNING!
