Queen
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Barra da Tijuca
January 19, 1985

By request !

This is the Rio audience tape in the best possible quality. Another version was shared on Queenzone in 2009, but it's from a much higher generation copy tape, and has a few more cuts. This copy is actually from two different tape transfers, as disc 2 is noticeably better quality (although with a bit of tape hiss).

Disc 1 was from an awful 1990s CDR where someone created a bunch of clicks at the beginning of every track (and some tracks had a quarter second of cut and repeat), all of which has been carefully fixed. I also converted both discs to mono because the right channel was a bit worse than the left, and had more tape hiss (the recording itself is mono anyway, so no harm done).

This is Queen's last performance in South America, and it's well worth hearing from the audience's perspective.

AUD > ? > CDR (x) > WAV (GoldWave speed correction, fixes) > FLAC level 8

Disc 1:

1) Machines (tape)
2) Tear It Up
3) Tie Your Mother Down
4) Under Pressure
5) Somebody To Love
6) Killer Queen
7) Seven Seas Of Rhye
8) Keep Yourself Alive
9) Liar
10) Rock In Rio Blues
11) It's A Hard Life
12) Dragon Attack
13) Now I'm Here
14) Is This The World We Created?
15) Love Of My Life

Disc 2:

1) guitar solo [cut]
2) Brighton Rock (ending)
3) Another One Bites The Dust
4) Mustapha (intro)
5) Hammer To Fall
6) Crazy Little Thing Called Love
7) Bohemian Rhapsody
8) Radio Ga Ga [cut]
9) I Want To Break Free
10) Jailhouse Rock
11) We Will Rock You
12) We Are The Champions [cut]
13) God Save The Queen [cut]
14) Rock In Rio theme song

Not something I'd download to keep in the collection, but still thank you for all the effort. Very much appreciated.

Definitely for completists, this one. Not everything can be Boston 76, unfortunately !

I wish there was a good audience tape of the first night. They played really well.
