Nope he's talked about leaving RCA in interviews openly which he wouldn't have done if he were lying, too much risk involved in being called out about it. The fact is they wanted a new wave covers album, he thought about it and offered a compromise of a 80's rock/glam rock cover album or even a 90's cover album even though it wasn't what he really wanted but they were adamant it was new wave or nothing so he said thanks but I'm not feeling it and walked away, no drama, no aggro and he left on good terms. Don't see what's so hard to accept about that fact.

As far as the American tours go, it must be gratifying for Brian and Roger that they are actually playing to crowds equal to( and actually exceeding) the size of the ones at their commercial zenith in 1980.

For how far they fell here in popularity during the 1980's to early 1990's this resurgence is quote remarkable. Most bands from Queen's era need to do double headliner bills(sometimes triple) to sell the amount of tickets QAL are here in the States.

Agreed, lots of legacy bands are teaming up with a couple of other acts to do tours.

You see something - Lamebird ist all about COVERS. Covers here covers there - he is sooooooo creative and an ICON that he is doing COVERS! And of course he said it was his wish to leave. Do you expect him to say "yes they dropped me"? Thats why he is desperately trying to do QAL as long as he posibly can as it is his last career grasp. Then it is back to cruise ships and gay clubs

So you think he'd risk going on interviews and telling complete lies about leaving knowing someone from the label could hear him and refute his statement and make him look an idiot not to mention it wouldn't help him find a new one? I personally don't think he's that dumb. He's honest enough to talk about all sorts of things even when they aren't very flattering to him so why would that be any different. As to covers he hasn't had new music out recently but he confirmed in an interview two days ago he's gonna be releasing it next year, he was the one who brought the subject up they didn't ask and he's said it numerous times in the last couple of weeks so I've no reason to doubt him. Course he's gonna carry on doing Queen as well, Bri & Roger clearly want to carry on so why wouldn't he.

You're dreaming if you think his career won't be ok once he stops the collab with them, he gets asked to do all sorts of things unrelated to Queen and that's not gonna change afterwards in fact he'll have more free time to pursue other things.

My guess is a reference to spinal tap, finding his options limited and needing Brian & Roger to get any proper work. Or in other words a load of bollocks.

Michael Buble was great on Strictly tonight.

I saw his new song on the Voice and I don't know if it was the same one that he sang on Strictly, but it was really slow. I don't think I would be running out and getting it. It was even slower than an old crooner song which really surprised me. Perhaps it was because the other artists were singing fast, beat driven, catchy songs (which I also didn't much like!), but I found it really dull and I don't usually feel that way when I see him on his Christmas shows.

Michael Buble sang “Where or When” on the Voice — very old song. His new album called “Love” is covers of very old songs. Waiting for the grinches who don’t approve of singers performing covers! LOL

Icy, you always bring up covers, that Adam sings cover and if somebody mentions a new gig, you ask if it is a cover? Pretty obvious you don't think much of him singing covers. You always say he should be doing his own new music as if there is something wrong with covers. That is my general impression of your view.

The Lhama deserves every bashing imaginable. After all he is destroying a once might band and making them a laughing stock.
