Spike A now ever present member in live machine that is Queen. (Proberly now about to eclipse John Deacon as the longest serving member on stage...)
At the height of his duration of the classic queen era. Was he ever considered as a "5th member" for future "post magic" tours. What interviews or comments from Freddie, Roger, Brian and John regarding his presence on stage? Was he ever considered as an actual member in studio?
Has he ever shed light on performing with the four others behind the scenes in particular, John Deacon?

He played some synths on the 'Magic' album but for 'The Miracle' they chose a members-only policy... so no, not a member, but definitely a valuable employee.

John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Rog didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Wales is not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 vox.

I guess we will never get to know how important he really is for the Queen machine, but as he was a member of Roger's the Cross and also of the Brian May Band, involved in the Musical and didn't they also call him their "musical director" or something like that, he Lust be very valuable. He contributed some very good Songs to the Cross as well.

But I doubt that Queen would have recruited a 5th official member.

Not important. If he'd been unavailable for any tours they'd have replaced him easily. The Show Must Go On.
