I hated it, too cheesy, the plot didn't make any sence, don't kill me, just my opinion, glad you enjoyed it though

It was soooo funny though.
Did you see it when Tony Vincent did it?

I saw it when Tony was on. He was absolutely brilliant! Perfect for the role of Galileo.
Although Hannah is fantastic and her voice is probably one of the best female voices I've ever heard, it was Tony who made the show IMO. Brilliant voice, not to mention his look! ;-)

I'm going again in January and I am really curious to see the new guy. How was he?
Was Sharon D. Clarke on as Killer Queen or Jazz Murray? I saw Sharon and thought she was class!

Good to hear you had a great time. It's really ass kicking isn't it?

I can't wait to see it again!

I was there too last night! It was amaxing I am definately going to see it again soon! I took five converts with me and they all loved it and want more as weel.
A lot of people don't realise that the cheesiness is intentional, the production is not serious at all and you are supposed to laugh at the soppy parts etc. It seems to me that it is a slight piss take of the genre of stage musicals in general and their contrived-osity.
Anyway, you don't need to analyse the plot carefully at all to enjoy it, the singing, the band, the lighting and the general spectacle are great entertainment, and there is good opportinity for audience participation. So, about as close to a Queen concert as I am ever going to get, really. It was really great to hear my favourite songs live sitting with a whole audience of people who knew and loved them too. That is why people should go, in my humble opinion.
Despite mixed reviews, I thought the story was interesting and very well executed by the actors- they played the audience so well. I though the people there last night were a pretty tough crowd (see below for explanation) but they were all soon hyped up and by the end everyone was clapping along and waving their arms in the air- and it got a standing ovation even before it was finished (although that may have been becasue people thought it was the end, but honestly, how could you end the show without doing Bo Rhap first?). THe audience were really into it but I can guess at why a few snooty critics sniffed at it - there were many jokes in there that you wouldn't get on the deepest level were you not a Queen fan and had you not heard the songs.
I normally don't like musicals at all, but that one was great, very atmospheric, and I can't wait to go again. I cannot emphasise how glad I am that Queen (and company) have produced such a high-quality show.

Where abouts where you sittin, Steph? In the circle?! Please tell me, I might have seen you? Which seat number?

I was sitting in the stalls, G 36 was the seat number.
I was the only one in the stalls headbanging to the bo rhap solo looking like a right prune! Lol
Hannah Jane Fox and Sharon D Clarke were pointing and laughing at me so at least i got some recognition from the stars!

Sonja-Sharon was doing Killer Queen- She was great but in some points she sounded slightly out of tune but either way she was superb and really fit the part.
Mig Ayesa was great, his voice was perfect for the songs and he was soooo funny. I'm going with a bunch of my friends next year some time, i need to save up for a bit though!

Yup - we've only just got Mamma Mia in Auckland so it'll be a very very very long time before we catch up to the rest of the word and get WWRY.
Be glad that you managed to get to see it at all.

Why? What have I done? Oh, wait, yeah. Cheers.

I was in F47, in the circle. During the Radio GaGa chorus, I cherfully threw my hands up in the air and clapped away for a while before I looked round and realised that I was the ONLY ONE doing it, apart from some people way over the other side of the theatre who I am sure must have been season-ticket holders, as they were very 'enthusiastic' the whole way through. I looked such a prat.
I had the misfortune to be sitting behind this family who must have had some kind of illness which caused them to shuffle around, pass things to eachother and lean forward in their seats all the time so I couldn't see. And they were the only ones in the theatre NOT waving their arms during WATC.
But it was great anyway and I got a T-shirt.

Aww I miss Tony, he was great. I hear that Mig's really good too though, and that some of the show has been changed slightly. Can't wait til I go see it again next year!
