Just saw the movie. What do you think about it? It's not very realistic (all that modern music in Paris 1900), but I still liked it. It's one of those big movies with a capital "B". The "Show Must Go On" part was fabulous. It really showed how strong and powerful that song is. The part where Nicole Kidman sang "My make-up may be flaking..." was very touching. Reminded me of what happened to Freddie, after all he also died from a lung disease (caused by AIDS). If you haven't seen this movie, watch it. The SMGO part alone gives you a reason to watch it.

Never watched the movie (I will, I will) but saw it as a musical played by a class at school. It was great! I love the music... Roxanne, for instance.

The version of 'The Show Must Go On' is one more reason for me to hate the movie.

I love Moulin Rouge, not because of TSMGO, but because it's an awesome, completely original film.

I just saw it a couple of weeks ago. I never knew Ewan could sing so beautifully! But apart from that it isn't one of my favorite movies by the way, it was ok I guess...

That was my favourite movie ever. Evan McGregor sings beautifully, he should be a singer, I love his voice!

I saw this film back in Xmas when I gave my sis the DVD. IMO, the plot was very predictable. If I can predict what was going to happen, I can't enjoy the film. However, the cinematography was excellent. McGregor's vocals were fab, I wasnt that keen on Kidman's honestly, she sang well. I also didnt like the film's redition of TSMGO, very dreary.

Yes, but David Wenham (Faramir) in drag is fantastic! I can't take McGregor seriously as a singer after his "I wanna feel!" scene in Velvet Goldmine.

Well I thought Ewan has a terrific voice, really gave me goosebumps! I bought the soundtrack a couple of days ago, brilliant! I never knew that David Bowie sang Nature Boy, btw!!
