Just wondered if anyone had found a suitable replacement trem arm for the Burns. I want to use a straight one, but I'm not going to bend the original one. Has anyone found a suitable trem arm that could be used as a replacement? I need one that fits into the slot perfectly. I can use the one it comes with, it just frustrates me a bit.

Of course it frustrates you, it does me too ;-) The one that comes with the regular one from the shops is not exactly the best around. But ever since I got my first guitar with Floyd Rose tremolo (Ibanez) I will never again settle for anything else. You could have a Floyd Rose put on but it does mean some frasing has to be done in the body and some treatment on the neck/headstock. I found it definately worth it though.

If I could find a Schaller (sp?) that they put on the Guild guitars at a reasonable price and so it didn't damage the guitar I'd get it swapped. At present I think I'm going to try to locate a better shaped trem arm, I'm going to see one of the top local luthiers this afternoon to share ideas. I probably will one day change to white switches too, but that's a far ahead decision.
