So Hutton report whitewash or true account?

Probably only interesting to those in the UK, but nevertheless we can all learn something from this, is it big brother, or just poor reporting? what do you think Queenzone.

( To those outside the UK if you are not aware it has lead to the downfall of probably the two best leaders of the BBC for more than a decade)

It's really funny, for the last 6 months, Michael Howard and the media have been rubbing their hands saying "We've got blair now, this report'll sink him, especially when it comes from someone with such an impeccable reputation for fairness as Lord Hutton"

and as soon as it comes out and doesn't back them up...

"Arg! It's all a fake, it's all wrong!"

Load of bullshit.

Getting rid of biased wankers like Greg Dyke and Gavyn Davies is the best thing that could have happened to the BBC, pheraps now they will get back to reporting the truth and trying to regain respect from the rest of the world.

Was Michael Howard saying that for the last six months? Considering he was shadow chancellor I don't think he was making a big deal of it.

Personally think Hutton is in Blair's back pocket and it's all a stitch up.

Greg Dyke gone...every cloud and all that.

*points to name* So THAT'S what happened to Jim Hutton! He became a judge...

Hehe, my dad told me about the whole Hutton Report thing and said "the guy's name was Judge Hutton. I thought you'd appreciate that."

and the dude from the BBC was Gilligan.

Hello little buddy!

I think Greg Dyke has done a lot of good for the BBC. I feel very sorry for the 90% of the organisation who are involved in entertainment, sport and documentaries and so on who had sod all to do with Hutton and have lost an inspirational leader. You could see how upset they were by the way they all downed tools and walked out on Thursday in a show of support, and took out that ad in the Telegraph backing him up. Probably after that report he did have to go to help draw a line under it, but I'd rather have had him at the BBC than Blair in power if I had to choose between the two. But that's possibly just because I care deeply about the BBC but don't give a toss about politics.

When the BBC stop being biased and start being British again, then they might get the respect they used to have.

So be honest Harvey, had you even heard of Gavin Davies before last week?

I doubt it, but nevertheless what is your basis for believing Dyke and Davies had any impact on what was reported?

Clearly there was some very poor reporting here and the whole situation was badly handled, but as they say there is no smoke without fire, and it is simply implausable that the Government can come out of this whiter than white.

WHilst again it highly unlikely that Blair would have lied to the house, knowing it would get exposed, it is also highly unlikely that someone in the Government didn't 'sex up' the documents and thus the case for war.

Sadly the fallout is the loss of a the best DG the BBC has had in a long while and I fear for the corporation now the dust is settling.
