Why do they call themselves "Queensryche"? Is there any connection to Queen?

BTW, my fav album by Queensryche is still Operation Mindcrime.

I see from their website that they'll be playing in your country soon. By all means, go and see them. Darker and 'moodier' than in the 90s. Listen to 'Operation Livecrime', 'Empire' or their Greatest Hits, as they do perform quite a bit of their earlier songs. They opened with 'Open' from the 'Tribe' LP in the USA (clever).

Name origins?? Not a clue. No doubt it had to help them early on.

I love Queensryche! They are one of my all time fav bands. I saw them on the Empire tour and they are amazing live. Geoff Tate has one of the best voices in rock music.
